💫 Happy Apara Ekadashi 💫 - 'Apara' means lim 💫 Happy Apara Ekadashi 💫 - 'Apara' means limitless. Lord Vishnu showers limitless blessings and wealth on the devotees who fast on this day. It is also known as Jyeshta Krishna Ekadashi as it falls on the eleventh day of Krishna Paksha of the Jyeshtha month in the Hindu calendar.

✨ Benefits of Fasting On This Day ✨

➕ Devotees obtain salvation and free themselves from the guilt of committed sins. Lord Vishnu blesses people with wealth and success.

➕ It is believed that devotees receive similar benefits to having a dip in the holy river of Ganga in the month of Kartik. People receive the privilege of donating cows if they perform good deeds along with fasting on this day.

✨ The Story of Apara Ekadashi ✨

🌳 Apara Ekadashi was narrated to Yudhishthir by Lord Krishna. In ancient times, a king Mahidwaj followed the righteous path. His younger brother Yajra Dhwaj killed him due to his hatred. Yajra decided to hide his brother's body under a Peepal tree, due to which Mahidwaj didn't attain salvation, and his spirit stayed in that spot.

🌳 When a sage passed from the tree, he sensed the spirit and came to know the reality. The sage observed the fast of Apara Ekadashi to get the blessings of Lord Vishnu so he could help Mahidwaj to obtain salvation.

✨ How to fast on this Ekadashi ✨

🌅 On the day of Ekadashi, the devotees of Lord Vishnu observe a hard fast. The next day after sunrise, they break the fast.

🍎 Some people do it without water, some with fruits, and some with Satvik food.

🛁 Devotees take an early bath and worship Lord Vishnu. They offer sweet Tulsi leaves and fruits and recite the auspicious Vishnu Sahastranama and the story of Apara Ekadashi.

📿 Om Namo Bhagwate Vasudevay

➕ It is believed that it is the same as donating gold to the solar eclipse and that even Chitragupta, who keeps an account of the deeds of human beings, is also unable to write down the merit of fasting on this Ekadashi, highlighting the power and great benefits of it.

✨ The Story of Varuthini Ekadashi ✨
♻️ According to Hindu text, there was once a King Mandhata who practised this Ekadashi, as advised by Lord Vishnu, to repent some of his wrongdoings in the past. He did so with great devotion and in turn achieved liberation from the cycle of birth and death.

Happy Hanuman Jayanti 🐵 Celebrating the birth o Happy Hanuman Jayanti 🐵 Celebrating the birth of Lord Hanuman, the epitome of devotion and faithfulness to Lord Rama 🎉

✨ Who Is Lord Hanuman ✨
🌬 Hanuman was born to mother Anjana and father Kesari. He is also referred to as the son of the diety Vayu (God of Wind) because of the legend associated with Lord Vayu’s role in Hanuman’s birth.

✨ Facets of Hanuman ✨
💪🏽 Hanuman was blessed with supernatural powers and energy. Some of those powers include: super strength, flying, change sizes and also transform himself into anything.

❤️ He was also granted the power of immortality by Lord Rama so that he can continue to stay on earth in secret as long as the name of Lord Rama was changed and worshipped!

✨ The birth story of Hanuman ✨
🙏🏽 There are various interpretations of his birth. However, the most told version is when Anjana was performing her divine and intense worship to Lord Shiva for years on in, the King Dasharatha of Ayodhya was also performing the ritual of Putrakana yagna in order to have children.

🥣 As a result he was blessed with some sacred pudding (kheer) that was to be shared amongst his three wives, that ultimately lead to the birth of Lord Rama, Lakshman, Bharata and Shatrughna.

🪁 The story has it that Lord Vayu (God of wind) took some of that pudding and dropped it on the outstretched hands of Anjana, who was engaged in deep worship, and upon consumption and blessings from Lord Shiva, Hanuman was born.

📿 Hanuman is also widely known to be the avatar/reflection of Lord Shiva himself.

✨ How is his birthday celebrated ✨
📶 Devotees worship Lord Hanuman to gain confidence, courage and protection against evil deeds and beings.

🛕Hanuman chalisa (devotional hymns) are often recited repetitively amongst devotees, with various visits to temples offering flowers, coconuts and sweets to Lord Hanuman!

⭐️ Jai Shree Ram Jai Shree Hanuman ⭐️
🙏🏽 Happy Kamada Ekadashi 🙏🏽- the word 🙏🏽 Happy Kamada Ekadashi 🙏🏽- the word Kamada signifies ‘the fulfilment of desires’ and is believed to be a spiritual observance that fulfils all the worldly desires.

✨ The Story of Kamada Ekadashi ✨
🎤 According to Hindu teachings, a gandharva couple (celestial beings), Lalit (a singer) and Lalitha (a dancer) were performing in the court of King Pundarika. As Lalit was performing his attention was diverted when he could not see his wife and therefore lost focus and missed some beats.

🐍 A serpent named NagarKotaka, who was also present manipulated the King by saying Lalit considers his wife more important than the king. Infuriated, the King cursed Lalit to become a giant man-eating monster.

🧘🏽‍♂️ Lalitha stressed, wandered to the forest to seek help. She came across a sage Shringi who advised her to keep a fast of Kamada Ekadashi. By observing this fast diligently and with the blessings of Lord Krishna, Lalit was restored back to his human form!

⭐️ Devotees observe fast on this day with the pretext of getting their desires fulfilled. Devotees wake up early on this day and have a bath, and eat only specific fruits and vegetables. Rituals are held whilst reciting the Satya Narayan Katha.
